On July 21, the NCWorks Career Center in Elizabeth City (Pasquotank County) held an innovative event combining elements of an open house, workshop and job fair. Called “It’s all in the Details,” the purpose of the event was “to educate and introduce the community to the resources and partners of the NCWorks Career Centers through providing tours, learning sessions on services, and introductions to employers,” said assistant center manager Sheryl Stevens.

A number of employers who are hiring were at the event, along with numerous partners, including our own Reentry Initiative, represented by Victor Hinnant. Hundreds of people attended, including local middle school students. Read more in this article from the local newspaper, The Daily Advance.
